Description
This course will examine the major theories and recent research on human emotions, including findings from diverse areas such as animal research, learning theory, human development, neurobiology, and advances in psychotherapy. Students will explore the nature of emotions, and learn practical, mental health techniques for recognizing, regulating/managing, and communicating emotions. Students will also explore how culture, gender, and other aspects of human identity affect how emotions are experienced and communicated.
