An examination from a holistic perspective of a wide spectrum of health care problems and issues that affect women across the lifecycle as individuals, family members, and members of communities. The physical, psychosocial, socioeconomic, and family implications of health issues are examined, and the impact of women's well-being is determined. The development of culturally competent strategies and evidence-based interventions of health promotion and maintenance to provide care that improves women's well-being and quality of life are emphasized.
