Description
The Honors Seminar in the Humanities and Social Sciences will focus on a particular methodological problem or central issue in one or more disciplines of the humanities and/or social sciences. Over the course of the semester, students will be required to (1) familiarize themselves with the current literature in a particular problem area and (2) pursue original research in that area. Students will also be required to read extensively, engage in seminar discussions, and participate in individual conferences with the instructor. Prerequisites: Matriculation in one of the disciplines under the aegis of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences; completion of 64 credits; selection by a faculty committee.
