Description

Analysis and interpretation of rock formation, including folds, faults, joints, igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic structures, and their relation to plate tectonic and other geologic processes. Lab and field based exercises using geologic maps, cross sections and stereographic projections, including interpretation of data collected in the field.
